Retort Pouch
A retort pouch is a type of food packaging made from a laminate of flexible plastic and metal foils and is heat resistant to withstand high temperatures. It allows for the sterile packaging and preservation of precooked processed foods and is used as an alternative to metal cans. It can sit on shelf with attractive display and be stored without refrigeration. It is space saving and lightweight for storage and transportation. Options include pour spouts, tear notches, release valves and recloseable zip strips and it can be printed with full colour graphics.
Retort pouches can be premade or formed on a food-safe HFFS production line from preprinted roll stock, and then filled and sealed to suit your application.
Common applications: seafood, soup, sauces, rices, pet food, pharmaceutical products.
