Total packaging solutions for the Salads and Vegetables industry

Salads and Vegetables Packaging Machinery

When preparing a meal nothing is more convenient than salad that has already been cut, washed and packaged. Salad leaf processing is a multi-step process that involves multiple wash stations, visual inspection, mixing, drying (tumble drum or use of air knives) and conveying. ADM supply machinery that can efficiently process lettuce, spinach, rocket, salad mixes, diced or shredded fruit and vegetables to increase productivity for your production line.

Salad packaging lines require Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) systems which we install to our machinery. Using a correctly dosed amount of Nitrogen and Carbon Dioxide we can control the respiration rate of the packaged salad to extend the shelf life and freshness. A MAP system can also prevent browning of cut fruit and vegetables.

Most salad packaging lines use a Vertical Fill Form and Seal (VFFS) machine to package product into a bag formed from a film rewind. All of our VFFS machines come with a date coder so each bag can be printed with a batch number, best before date and even nutritional information and salad mix title. We can also upgrade the sealing jaws to ultrasonic sealing which provides a shorter seal to reduce film length and also minimises inclusions in the seal.

ADM design and manufacture machinery that is rated for sanitary and washdown environments. Maintaining a clean and hygienic processing line is essential for a successful salad packing business. ADM can offer fully washdown conveyors with built in CIP (Clean in place) systems so the conveyors wash themselves! We also offer high IP rated systems such as IP66 or IP69K.

Our in-house engineers will work with your floor plans to integrate existing systems and application requirements to customise your packaging line. Whether you need an entry level machine or a fully automated production line, ADM Packaging Automation are the experts in supplying packaging equipment to improve efficiency, increase productivity and deliver cost savings to your production line.

ADM-DP30 Pouch Filling Machine

The ADM-DP3 Series is a family of Australian-manufactured premade pouch packaging machines engineered to deliver flexibility, control, and reliability across a wide range of pouch formats and product types. Designed for food, FMCG, and specialty packaging environments, the DP3 Series provides consistent pouch handling, accurate filling, and repeatable sealing performance in compact, production-ready platforms.

Each model within the DP3 Series is built around a carousel-based pouch handling process, where premade bags are automatically picked, opened, filled, settled, and sealed through a controlled sequence of stations. This approach ensures stable bag presentation and consistent pack quality, even when working with wider pouch openings, varying materials, or challenging product characteristics.

The ADM-DP30 is configured for flat pouches, doy pouches, and quad seal formats, making it suitable for producers packaging multiple product lines with frequent size and format changeovers. Its adaptable configuration allows smooth integration into both new installations and existing packaging lines.

ADM-C260 VFFS

C260 – FMCG Speed Leader

The ADM-C260 is the fastest in the series, capable of up to 200 bags per minute, and designed for small-to-medium format packs. Its agility and speed make it ideal for high-volume FMCG lines such as snacks, coffee, grated cheese, nuts, pulses, and confectionery.

Key advantages of the C260:

  • Ultra-fast bagging for portion-controlled retail products
  • Compact footprint for tight production spaces
  • Excellent performance on delicate films without distortion
  • Seamless integration with multihead weighers for precise dosing

ADM-C400 VFFS

C400 – The Versatile Mid-Range Performer

The ADM-C400 takes the same continuous motion principles and applies them to medium-to-large bags, making it the go-to choice for pet food, frozen food, grains, and foodservice packs. With bag widths from 120 mm to 400 mm, it balances speed with the ability to handle heavier fills (up to 5 kg).

Key advantages of the C400:

  • Larger bag handling with continuous motion speed benefits
  • Washdown-ready for frozen food and meat applications
  • Excellent seal strength on thicker films used for heavier products
  • Adaptable to both retail and bulk foodservice requirements
